With no shortage of contradictory findings, it's understandable if you're left feeling like you've had a little too much to drink. Now, new research from Denmark suggests that moderate levels of alcohol drinking — not binge drinking — may be linked to a lower risk of developing diabetes. But it's not just how much people drink, but how often they drink, that plays a role, the researchers said. It's important to note, however, that most experts recommend that if you don't already drink alcohol, you shouldn't start because of possible health benefits. Family Dreams Fitness is a health and wellness company whose mission is to help create a more healthy and positive world. One of the most important keys to living a healthier life is to fuel your body with the right foods. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, over 560,000 Americans are homeless with over 35,000 living in Florida. On Saturday July 22nd and Sunday July 23rd, Family Dreams Fitness fed over 200 homeless people in Miami. We believe one of the first steps for a person to get on their feet is by having a healthy meal. We want to give the homeless one less thing to worry about and help uplift them to accomplishing their goals. Here are a few clips from our event this past weekend... What Is Rheumatoid Arthritis? Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the lining tissue of joints, causing chronic joint inflammation. While it primarily affects joints, it can also cause inflammation of organs, such as the lungs, eyes, skin, and heart. People with RA may experience an increase in symptoms –called flares – that can last for days or weeks. They may also have periods of remission where they have few or no symptoms. How do you feel about the way that you eat? I feel good about the way I eat. I consistently watch what I eat, when I eat & how I eat. How active were you when you were younger and what activities did you do for exercise? Did you have P.E.? When I was younger, I was non-stop active from sunrise to sunset & thru the night. I played every sport possible whenever I could. I had P.E. yes, and it was my favorite class. What is your dream in life? Are you working towards that dream? My dream in life is to be rich off life; take care of my people, live stress free, be successful and give back. I work towards my dream everyday. How stressful is your life right now? Life is always stressful, good stress and bad stress. How do you cope with your stress? How you cope with stress is how you manage life. Get up or stay down. Do you know how to exercise properly? Yes. I am fluent with proper exercise. Do you know how to eat healthy? Yes. Knowing how to eat healthy is key. What changes do you want to see in the health industry? I want to see changes in health education, not just reading labels. Do you think being healthy will ever be at the forefront in society? I watch my portions with my 3 main meals. How active were you when you were younger and what activities did you do for exercise? Did you have P.E.? I was very active when I was younger. Played in 2 or 3 different sports year round and I had P.E. as well which was my favorite class growing up What is your dream in life? Are you working towards that dream? My dream life is to run my own training facility as a certified sports nutritionist and certified training. Yes, I am working towards my dream by 1st starting my own training performance page on social media. How stressful is your life right now? Very stressful now. How do you cope with your stress? By working out at the gym with my friends or just hanging with my fiancé and friends outside the gym. Do you know how to exercise properly? Yes I do Do you know how to eat healthy? Yes I do What changes do you want to see in the health industry? I just want to see more people understand that your health is so important as you grow and enforce that 30 mins of physical activity or exercise is all you need to be active each day!! Do you think being healthy will ever be at the forefront in society? I think it will. I feel that our health industry is growing but I feel we get away from the old foundation of being healthy rather than taking each step correctly to lose weight or gain healthy weight.
