He has certified over 22,000 mixologists. Yes, mixologist, not just bar tender. There is a huge difference, mixologist, is not just a fancy word for bar tender. Mark Drobiarz, has been in the bar tending scene for more than 40 years and is an instructor for ABC Bartending Schools. From the Maker's Mark Distillery to Sergio's World Beers, he's been all over the country (and world) visiting breweries, distilleries, and other hole-in-the-walls that serve some of the best and rarest forms of alcohol. If you can, sit back, relax, and sip on a cold one while listening to Mark explain what makes a true drink master! Send me questions or comments on Twitter @Younicooo or Instagram @younico. I'll have this job, drive this car, marry this type of man and live in this beautiful home with my certain amount of kids. Now, of course I understand that things aren't going to happen exactly as I say, but having vision gives me something to work towards. And it also helps to have an answer prepared when others ask the dreadful question of "Where do you see yourself in five years?" *rolls eyes* But what I've found is sometimes I'm a little more firm in controlling my life than I probably should be. I can be stubborn at times, so I struggle with the whole "let go and let God" concept. (I'm working on it!) I want things my way and we all know that never ends well. I'll keep trying to force things because I feel like I shouldn't give up. But it takes prayer to discern when to be persistent and when to accept things as they are and move forward. Smiling and laughing can have a positive effect on your well-being, but as you make the transition from child to adult, you often tend to lose the habit of indulging in these behaviors. A good example of this is a children’s playground: You often see the kids running around, constantly laughing and smiling as they enjoy living in the moment, while the parents sit around the edge, full of the stresses that modern life can bring, with the occasional grin breaking their otherwise serious facial expressions. Adults can benefit from taking a lead from children and making more room in life for smiling and laughter. Research has shown that there a number of health benefits contributed to smiling and laughing. In addition to improved health, these simple facial expressions and common human behaviors can have a distinctive positive affect on other factors all areas of your life. When you smile and laugh, a number of physiological changes occur in your body, mostly without you being consciously aware of it happening. Food provides energy for your body to function as well as nutrients to support the thousands of reactions necessary for the cells, tissues and organs to grow and develop. The term macro nutrient describes the chemical substances that provide calories for energy including carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Micro nutrients include the many essential vitamins and minerals required in smaller amounts. Nearly all foods, with the exception of items such as candy that provide only calories with no nutrients, provide some amount of both macro and micro nutrients. There could be all sorts of different situations in our life when the time comes and we feel that we are about to give up. Sometimes we give up before we even started doing something new. Sometimes we give up just before making this huge breakthrough to success just because we saw how much effort should go through in order to succeed and it can really scare us. Don’t give up beforehand! 1. Everything Is Possible Imagine the scenario: you've been dating someone new and it’s going well as far as you’re concerned. Compared to the other people you have been dating this one finally seems normal. They don’t talk about their exes at dinner or constantly update their Snapchat. You have been going to dinners, movies, staying up all night on the phone, the whole shebang. You get along well and you genuinely like each other’s company. You are enjoying this phase where you are getting to know each other and though you don't know what the future holds; you hope that it includes the two of you. At this point though, it is anyone's guess. You are young and on the pursuit of your goals so stressing a relationship is not really your thing. You prefer to trust that the universe will put the right person in your life at the right time and they will stay, at their own will. One night as you stroll along the sidewalk after another great evening, you pull them close taking in the scent you have grown to like so much and you say..... This morning I looked at my desk in disgust. I haven’t cleaned it in ages, and the mess continues to grow. I tried to talk myself into getting organized to no avail, until I started considering health benefits of being organized. When there are health benefits involved in something, I instantly become far more interested. To my surprise and delight, there actually are health benefits associated with being organized, and they make the hard work of cleaning up seem totally worth it. As it would appear, by being organized and open to cleaning our homes, desks, yards, etc., we’re actually doing our bodies really good. I’m someone who has a very difficult time keeping things clean and organized. I’d much rather watch a Netflix marathon, or read a book, or pet my dog, or do pretty much anything that involves me not cleaning. However, when things get too unorganized, I start to immediately feel overwhelmed. It’s only then that I will finally consider getting my act together and getting things in order. Now, however, I feel like there is much greater of a push to get organized then I could have imagined — and I’m about to bestow those bits of information on you as encouragement for you to clean, too. Here are five health benefits of being organized. |
