In honor of Women’s Month, like I said, I’ll be doing little features daily of some amazing women, & self love is the best love so I’m starting with me. Thank you for your questions! Questions: How do you approach networking? I’ve always been very shy. If you’ve ever met me out you’d never know that, and you know why? I don’t do small talk and I gravitate towards where my energy is drawn. This helps me in terms of not faking connections and not making superficial connections. Lately I’ve given up “networking” all together in lieu of being present. I’ve learned that giving takes you a lot farther than merely taking. Merely chasing “clout” as we love to say now a days won’t do too much for your longevity. I generally don’t leave the house unless it will be edifying for my soul. Photo ops and lit stories are just not helping when I wake up on Sunday at noon with no motivation. In life, we can tend to consider only the larger things that we feel will surmount to happiness. A great job, money, success, a family, freedom to travel, and more; these larger goals are important for health and happiness, but its the day-to-day little things that can boost our moods and wellbeing. As a certified health coach, I try to focus on finding the smaller, simpler things that can make us happy and energized each day. Those little features add up, leading to greater happiness, productivity and success and inching us towards our larger goals. The only way to achieve a great job that makes us feel fulfilled and purposeful, a beautiful family, and financial freedom is by staying resilient through life's ups and down and maintaining a positive and appreciative attitude. By showing gratitude for the smaller things in life, without unrealistic expectations that can be disheartening when not met, we are better able to enjoy life for what it is, one step at a time. Here are thirteen hacks to feeling happier on a daily basis and grateful for life's simplest gifts. By considering all that you do have, rather than what you are missing, you're more likely to feel satisfied, less stressed and more connected to the world at large. Tiger's Eye Meaning Tiger’s Eye has a long history of one of the most revered stones there are. Its use dates back to the ancient Egyptians who chose this stone to represent divine vision and for this reason was used for the eyes in their deity statues. When worn by humans it was believed to allow the wearer to observe anything and was considered the “all-seeing, all-knowing eye”. Tiger’s eye was also used by Roman soldiers as it was thought to keep them brave during battle. Tiger’s Eye is truly a power stone and it has been thought of highly throughout history. It is believed to be a stone of prosperity and one that brings good fortune. Tiger’s eye is an excellent stone to use when you wish to protect your assets and will also aide in helping bring stability and awareness. When looking for balance (something absolutely necessary for living a happy and healthy life), Tiger’s Eye can prove to be an excellent stone to work with. It helps to move one out of a realm of division between opposition, bringing harmony and balance to opposing extremes. It helps to show one the delicate balance of how opposite forces are intricately connected. |
