Business partnerships are a little bit like marriages. A lot of them don't work out and some end badly! Give your small business partnership the best chance for success by following these tips.
Business partnerships take on a variety of forms. They may be a long term formal legal commitment or a simple short term venture to test a market concept. The same principles apply in all cases.
Use the following strategies for a partnership that starts strong and stays strong

1 - Start by creating a shared Vision & Mission

As in any business, it's critical for the partners to define the Vision and Mission of the venture as the very first step. If all brains aren't going in the same direction in the same way, problems are bound to arise. The motives for each partner can be different. The overall objectives and methods, however, need to be the same. Tom chose to partner with Dominic because each saw the market need for a commercial kitchen facility. Tom was a commercial contractor who had worked on restaurants and catering facilities. Dominic was Manager of a cooking school and well connected within the food preparation industry. Their agreed upon Vision was a 2,000 sq. ft. facility that would have 3 shifts of production, serve as a test kitchen for the cooking school and contract with other long term and project clients.

What Are the Benefits of Planning & Scheduling? by Louise Balle

In addition to proper organization, running a small business requires planning and scheduling, two key elements of effective project management. As a responsible business owner it's beneficial to set out a clear plan with an accompanying schedule so that you and your employees can accomplish your goals. Don't reveal the details of your plan little by little. It's best to write the plan down in complete form, distribute it to everyone involved, then make adjustments as needed.

Motivation
When you have a written plan and schedule, it's similar to maintaining an ongoing "to-do" list for your business. Completing and checking off the items on your plan will help motivate you and your employees to accomplish your project goals.

How Do You Feel About Health #13 (Lynae Richardson)

9/21/2017

What do you do for a living (school/job)?
Mental Performance Coach

1. Do you think about your health?
Yes

2. How do you feel about the way that you eat?
I think I eat relatively healthy, but I could still eat a lot better.

3. How active were you when you were younger and what activities did you do for exercise? Did you have P.E.?
I was very active. I played a number of sports and participated in PE. It has carried over into adulthood because I continued to play sports and be active.

4. What is your dream in life? Are you working towards that dream?
My dream is to become a mental performance coach for elite/Olympic athletes. I am working towards getting the education/experience to fulfill my dream.

5. How stressful is your life right now?
Not very stressful since I have graduated from college.

6. How do you cope with your stress?
Exercising really helps me deal with stress.

7. Do you know how to exercise properly?
Yes

8. Do you know how eat healthy?
Yes

9. What changes do you want to see in the health industry?
Proper education; I don’t think a lot of people really know what they should/shouldn’t be eating or know the best ways to accomplish their exercise goals.

10. Do you think being healthy will ever be at the forefront in society?
I think the culture (especially in Miami) is starting to change, where everyone wants to exercise more and eat healthier (even if they really don’t know how to). I don’t think that is the culture in most states however, because of lack of education and available resources.

There is no rewind or delete button in life. What's done is done. I know the feeling of regret is uncomfortable. When you decide that you made a bad decision, it can quickly become your brain's primary focus, especially when there are consequences to reap. "I should have done it this way" or "I should have said it like this instead." The overthinking can quickly produce feelings of guilt, insecurity, and overall dissatisfaction with yourself.

AUGUST 22, 2017

After graduation it seems like everything is supposed to fall into place; get your dream job, meet your husband, start earning a lot of money, and live happily ever after blah blah blah. HA! The universe had a laugh with that one. Things were definitely not going the way I intended them to, but now looking back, it was all so I could be where I am now. I am forever grateful that all of things I wanted so badly at the time did not come to pass (see how God works?).
