Today's episode shows our 3rd visit to The Wow Center Miami. We got an amazing treat, as nearly every student wanted to put on a show for us. Omar, Hans, Ralphie and others took to the stage to perform covers of their favorite artists, and didn't miss a beat. This episode is taking place during 'open mic', a day during the center's music therapy program which allows anyone from the school to perform to their favorite songs. The best part of how we have been able to integrate Love Hope Music with the Wow Center is how it is still treated like an open mic allowing performances from our artists as well as those from The Wow Center. Welcome to 'Road To Love Hope Music', This is episode 2, of 7 total episodes. Love Hope Music is a short music series presented by Love Hope and Itawe, to bring awareness to local initiatives through the art of local musicians. For the next seven days, we will upload a new episode recapping each visit to The Wow Center, a center for adults with developmental disabilities, leading up to the official launch of Love Hope Music. Love Hope Music was started by Love Hope as a way to collaborate with non-visual artists who wanted to use their art to help us bring awareness to local philanthropy through our lifestyle brand. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace.” ~Ajahn Chah Eckhart Tolle believes we create and maintain problems because they give us a sense of identity. Perhaps this explains why we often hold onto our pain far beyond its ability to serve us. We replay past mistakes over and over again in our head, allowing feelings of shame and regret to shape our actions in the present. We cling to frustration and worry about the future, as if the act of fixation somehow gives us power. We hold stress in our minds and bodies, potentially creating serious health issues, and accept that state of tension as the norm. Though it may sound simple, Ajahn Chah’s advice speaks volumes. There will never be a time when life is simple. There will always be time to practice accepting that. Every moment is a chance to let go and feel peaceful.
